2018年4月11日、アメリカ合衆国ワシントン州オリンピア市において、本学協定校South Puget Sound Community College(SPSCC)と本学の間で、包括連携覚書（MOU）の更新が行われました。また、これまでの両校の交流実績の上に、さらなる交流を促進するため、長期交換留学に関する合意書の調印が行われました。調印式では、SPSCC副学長David Pelkey先生と羽衣学園常務理事（大学事務局長）清水明男が合意書にサインし、両校の交流は新しい段階を迎えることとなりました。

　On 11th April, 2018, South Puget Sound Community College(SPSCC) and Hagoromo University of International Studies(HUIS) renewed  the MOU between the two institutions, which was first concluded in 2012.  Besides, on the basis of past close cooperation and exchange of students we agreed to embark on a new ‘AGREEMENT’ for  a student exchage program, which enables our students to study　abroad longer. Vice President of South Puget Sound Community College, Dr. David Pelkey, and Akio Shimizu, General Manager of HAGROMO University of International Studies, signed the ‘AGREEMENT.’
